Beh rami was a donkey, all effort but absolutely NO quality on the ball.
Da Costa had ingredients to be a top CH, great leap, brave, pacey but had no discipline on or off the field. A real waste.

I'm not the biggest fan of Reid.

Scored the winner against Millwall, scored the first in a 3-0 win at White Hart Lane, and scored the last ever goal - and winner - in the last game at our home.

I couldn't care less if people rate him, the bloke is an absolute god and should be considered up there with the greats of the club, let alone the last 10 years.

Neill was the year before they took over, so that's allowed. Shows our struggles that Demel is the best of that bunch, though I quite liked him.

I don't care that Junior has done well since leaving, he was without doubt the worse crosser of the ball I've ever seen from a winger. Made Faubert look like Beckham.

Yeah a slight exaggeration.

Agreed. When that group was cooking, it was fantastic. Probably the best working midfield unit I've seen while following the club.

Special mentions to players who miss out from my list:
Hitzelberger, Behrami, Stanislav.

fucking hell.

Da Costa??
Snake?

gotta be a wind up surely?

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
Fat Boy you're right it's laughable I can only hope it's a wind up

Antonio and Demel over Lucas Neil really

I'm genuinely looking at some of these picks with absolute amazement, I have to keep re-opening the thread to make sure I didn't make it up myself.

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
I always enjoyed watching Zola's midfield quartet of Parker, Noble, Collison and Berhami

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
you could always drop the largely bob average Alex Song or is he the first name on your teamsheet you bell?

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
Actually I am not sure as that feels extremely harsh on Obiang as I really rate him. Close call between him and Parker.... I'll stick with what I put.

Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
I'll be fucked if I can work out where the years go by either.

Was thinking it odd that no one had named Lucas Neill, but I see he actually left in 2009!!

Craig Bellamy the same year, loved that bloke.

Alex V 2:30 Tue Feb 28
Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
Must admit I forgot about Ba. Weird thing about him is he played most if not all of that period for us on the left wing.

Grumpster 2:29 Tue Feb 28
Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
I'm far too lazy to think of such a team, so will just give my backbone.

Green
Reid
Parker
Ba

Ba only played 12 games, but there's been no better striker as him at the club since Ashton.

Alex V 2:27 Tue Feb 28
Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
I'm not the biggest fan of Reid. Tomkins is a sentimental pick I suppose. As is Franco, one of my favourite players of our last decade, a joy to watch.

Hammers1993 2:22 Tue Feb 28
Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
Come on Alex I like you and think you speak sense most of the time but you are on a wind up here aren't you?

You included Upson in your team and not Reid? And Franco up front?

Hammers1993 2:19 Tue Feb 28
Re: Your best 11 in the Sullivan/Gold ownership
Even Joey O'Brien is a better right back than Antonio.

Antonio is a RM/RW and that's it for me.
